ATC Group Training

ATC Group Training is a registered Group Training Organisation, and is fully owned by the Australian Trades College WA Ltd.

The Australian Trades College WA Ltd established ATC Group Training Ltd to facilitate the employment of apprentices who undertake trade studies at the College.

ATC Group Training has the primary role of employer of apprentices enrolled at the College, however there are opportunities for employment for apprentices who have not previously attended the College.

As a Group Training Organisation, ATC Group Training manages the employment and training of apprentices, including placing them with an industry based host employer so they can receive on the job training.

ATC Group Training is responsible for all the administration paperwork relating to an apprentice’s employment including: Apprenticeship contract documentation, wages, tax, sick pay, superannuation, workers compensation and holiday pay.

ATC Group Training also ensures the apprentice is on-track to complete both on the job and off the job components of the apprenticeship training agreement.

A School-based apprentice employed by ATC Group Training rotates their time between the Australian Trades College WA and the workplace every 5-weeks. ATC Group Training Ltd supports this rotation by managing the hosting arrangements of the apprentices.

Once apprentices have completed their School based Apprenticeship, ATC Group Training will support them as they enter a full time apprenticeship, and continue to support them through to trade completion.

ATC Group Training services the following industries:

  • Automotive
  • Engineering Fabrication
  • Carpentry and Joinery
  • Cabinet Making
  • Bricklaying
  • Electrical
