I did this for several years and then joined Australia Post as a postal clerk, going on to be a postal manager and finance officer. Studied part-time to gain Accounting and Business Law degrees and then for CPA qualification. Completed 25 years with Australia Post in November 2010 as Manager, Management Accounting. Currently studying for Diploma in Project Management and Company Directors' qualification. Joined the ATC team in December 2010.
I collect vinyl records, love movies and like to read crime novels and non-fiction history. I will garden under duress.

Football (soccer) and I have this love / hate thing going with golf.
Somewhere quiet. Luxembourg is beautiful and so is Cairns. I am also happy to just hang around home

Trade Team Leader, Maddington Campus and Engineering Trade Facilitator
After spending my childhood growing up in my family owned engineering company in Narrogin, I completed my Boilermaking apprenticeship at 20 years old. Once I became a tradie, I moved and worked for a Perth engineering company as a workshop supervisor. Following this I saw an opportunity to progress my career into the training profession and secured my first trainer role at the Western Australian College of Agriculture - Narrogin. I worked at WACAN for 5 years completing further training to attain Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
I avidly followed the inception of (ATC-PSL) - now the Australian Trades College (WA) and secured the position of the first Engineering Facilitator, where I oversaw the building and fit out of the new Engineering facilities at the Maddington Campus and trained our Engineering students. I have now furthered my career with ATC WA into the position of Trade Team Leader - Maddington Campus, where I manage the training operations of all Trade studies at the Campus.
I have just enrolled into:
The freedom to grow as a professional and make a difference to young peoples lives. Also to be able to play a key role in improving the quality of trade training in Australia.
Music - I am a lead singer in a cover band
Anything cooked on a BBQ / Indian food.
Footy (that means AFL you know!) and V8 Supercars.
Also, Minute to Win it - is that classed as a sport?
Most people would mention an overseas destination, but I love the Pemberton region for its waterways, scenery, food and wines.

Carpentry & Joinery Trade Facilitator
I started my career as an apprentice at 15 and worked for Bunnings Forest Products for 21 years starting as a wood machinist and progressed through to Manager. As my experience and knowledge expanded I moved from managing a night shift of 150 guys, to restructuring the Distribution yard and introducing efficiencies into the joinery shop. During my time with Bunnings I completed a Diploma in Frontline Management, and became a qualified auditor when Bunnings adopted ISO 9001 to expand into the international market. I left Bunnings to run my own flooring and maintenance business for five years before coming to the ATC. Since then I have RPLed to obtain 2 more qualifications.
