Process of Employing an Apprentice

If you are interested in providing a work placement for an ATC Group Training Apprentice the following steps will be undertaken:

  1. An ATC Group Training Field Officer will visit your workplace and provide you with information about the program. This will be an opportunity for you to ask questions and gain a thorough understanding of our business.
  2. Next, you will have to decide whether to host your apprentice through:
    1. Direct Indenture, or
    2. Group Training hosted employment
The ATC Group Training Field Officer will explain the difference between these two options and assist you to make the best decision for your business.
  3. We will then request that you show the Field Officer around your workplace to get a better understanding of your business. In doing so, we can begin to determine which Apprentices will be best suited to that work environment.
  4. Next, we will organise a time and a date for 2-3 Apprentices to visit you for an interview (these apprentices have already been shortlisted from interviews conducted by ATC Group Training Ltd)
  5. Once you have determined which Apprentice you prefer, we will send out a letter confirming the work placement. This letter will include the following:
    1. The sign up date and start date
    2. The Apprentice's name and contact details
    3. The Field Officer's name and contact details. This ATC Group Training staff member will be the day-to-day contact between you and ATC Group Training Ltd.
Once this letter has been received, signed and returned to ATC Group Training Ltd a sign up is organised.
  6. During a sign up you will be asked to sign the following:
    1. For a direct indenture
      1. Training Plan and Contract
      2. Host Employer Consent Form
      3. Host Employer Acknowledgement Form
    2. For Group Training Employment:
      1. A Host Employer Agreement
